Late autumn in New England has me trading my healthful morning walks along the ocean for tall piney forests.
Each weekend I visit a new place whose paths are far less familiar – some busy, some solemn. Some well-marked. Others a bit overgrown and a little anxiety-producing, if I’m to be honest about it.
Those walks are the inspiration for this new occasional E-Newsletter: Field Notes. Brought to you by the agency team at Allegiance Group, Field Notes is for public media fundraisers.
Whatever your fundraising path – well-worn and familiar, or a bit rocky and one that has you carefully watching your next step – we’re here to guide you along the way.
You’ll find:
- Why This Works – where we break down what makes a direct mail Classic, email series, or technique successful.
- What’s New – just like it sounds! There’s a lot going on at Allegiance – new tools, new ideas. Read about them here.
- What’s on Our Minds – Sometimes we don’t have all the answers, but we are asking the right questions and will pose them here and hopefully strike up a thoughtful conversation.
- Case Studies – one of our core beliefs is that we all get better when we share learnings and breakthroughs. Read about client success stories here.
- Fundraising Fix – an opportunity for you to send us your fundraising challenges and we’ll share our recommendations.
I keep track of my nature walks in a leather journal gifted to me by a long-time friend. I return to it often. It’s where I list new trails I want to try, and notes about past hikes that have been both successful and sometimes a little disappointing.
You’ll find future editions of Field Notes archived here. I hope you’ll return to it often -- just as I do to that worn notebook -- and that you use it as a source of inspiration for new things to try, as well as a place to read about fundraising paths others have gone down before you and blazed a successful trail.
